Context
Finware was an early fintech venture. Alongside product work, the founding team was setting up the office, infrastructure, hiring, partnerships, and the operating rhythm needed to get an early company moving. The company is no longer operating.
Problem
Payment flows and financial operations can become hard to trust quickly when the UX is unclear. The work focused on making a payment-gateway experience easier to understand, evaluate, and complete.
My contribution
Redesigned payment-gateway UX; mapped user flows; contributed to dashboard, invoice, expense, and trust patterns; and worked on a quarterly roadmap. I also helped set up infrastructure, support founding-team hiring, and mentor a designer.

Decisions that shaped the work
- 01
Mapped a payment journey before polishing individual screens
- 02
Used clear flows and familiar language to reduce ambiguity around financial actions
- 03
Connected UX decisions to a roadmap and the practical constraints of an early team
Process
Worked through heuristic review, user-flow mapping, usability testing, roadmap planning, and ongoing collaboration with the team. The company shut down, so this page does not turn unverified product outcomes into a victory lap.
Evidence
- Payment-gateway UX flows and design work
- Roadmap and product-planning artifacts
- Founding-team and operational setup work
Outcomes and impact
- Reported 36% reduction in user drop-offs after the payment-gateway redesign
- Supported NBFC partnership work that contributed to a reported 46% customer-base increase
- Created a clearer product and operating foundation for the early team
Reflection
Finware taught me that early product work includes the screen, the roadmap, the team around it, and the very unsexy question of whether the office internet works.
